The Dakhla lagoon is world-famous for its shallow, flat waters and its many sports facilities, offering an incomparable playground for beginners and experts alike.
What's more, those who don't want to take part in water sports won't be left out in the cold: our beautiful desert offers a range of alternatives for enjoying your holiday in a different way.
There are many ways to get to Dakhla, whether for a long weekend or a stay of a week or more.
How do I get to Dakhla?

Dakhla has an international airport with daily flights from Casablanca: depending on your city of departure, flights with stopovers are available several times a week or even every day. Direct flights are also available from a number of cities, including Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux and Madrid.
The main airlines are Royal Air Maroc, Transavia and Ryan Air.
When is the best time to come to Dakhla?
The best time to visit Dakhla is from March to November, when the temperatures are mild and the winds are steady, ideal for kitesurfing, wingfoiling and other water sports.
However, Dakhla enjoys a pleasant climate all year round: even in winter, temperatures generally remain between 18°C and 24°C, making it an attractive destination in all seasons. Wind statistics are less good in winter, but with the wind blowing 300 days a year in Dakhla, it's unlikely you'll miss out on any water-based activities during your stay, whatever the time of year.
To sum up, there is no bad time to come to Dakhla, it all depends on your holiday programme.

Dakhla enjoys a mild, sunny desert climate all year round. Thanks to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the regular winds that blow all year round, temperatures remain pleasant throughout the day, winter and summer alike.
Temperatures vary between 18°C and 28°C, although it is cooler in the mornings and evenings at certain times of the year or when the wind blows intensely. Rain is very rare and the water temperature varies between 18 and 23°C depending on the season.
